Keeping Sadie safe on the road: My honest review of Waggle*

Life on the road with Sadie is many things — freeing, unpredictable, sometimes muddy, always meaningful.

If you’ve followed my channel for a while, you know how much she means to me. She’s not just my dog; she’s my co-pilot, my hiking partner, and the one keeping me company in the passenger seat while I chase the next campsite. Keeping her safe and comfortable is my #1 priority — and if you’re RVing with pets, I’m guessing you feel the same.

That’s why I’m sharing my experience with a product I now consider a must-have in my Nomadic RV Life: Waggle*

Why I Love Having a Pet Monitor in My RV

There were so many moments in the past where I’d leave the RV — maybe to enjoy a meal in a restaurant, grab groceries, or film content — and all I could think about was Sadie. What if it got too hot inside the rig? What if I left her in the cool air conditioning in an RV Park and the power went out? What if I lost signal and couldn’t check in?

When Waggle came into our lives, it was a game changer.

What Is Waggle?

If you’ve been Googling Waggle reviews, here’s the short version: it’s a real-time pet safety monitor built specifically for RVers and pet parents like us.

I started with the Waggle Pet Monitor Pro, and it was a game-changer. It tracks temperature and humidity inside the RV and sends instant alerts to my phone via built-in 4G cellular. No Wi-Fi, no stress. It even warns me if the power goes out.

Bottom line: Waggle lets me enjoy the freedom of RV life, without the constant anxiety of “is Sadie okay?”  for those times I have to leave her behind. Waggle gives me peace of mind.

When it really counted

Last summer we were in New York.  I had to take my mom to a doctor’s appointment. Not wanting to leave Sadie in the hot RV alone, we took my RV into town. While I waited for her inside the office, I got pinged by the Waggle Pet Monitor that the temperature was getting too warm inside the RV, so I rushed outside, started the engine and turned on the A/C to keep her cool while my mother finished her appointment.

That’s not a one-time thing either. It’s now a regular part of my RV rhythm — grab my grocery bags, my phone and check my Waggle.

I didn’t stop at just the Monitor

I was excited to see that Waggle is now offering more ways to keep Sadie safe and help me take care of her while we travel together. Here are some of the other products I’m using:

RV Mini Camera: I can check on Sadie from my phone whenever I want. It’s like having eyes inside the RV even when I’m miles away.

Would I recommend Waggle?

Absolutely. Especially if you RV solo like I do. It’s not just a device — it’s peace of mind in your pocket. After testing it across more than 40 states, during all 4 seasons, I trust Waggle to protect Sadie when I can’t be right there.
